( Please note: NEW steaming bay 'Blower' supply is operational )

Next Running day will be Sunday 8th. April.

Please note: the land is very wet so take great care where you drive as cars have got stuck recently. If you do not have an engine to unload we suggest you park in the tarmac car park and walk over the bridge.

All replacement track work has now been completed and the track is fully available.

Fitting the final Golden Sleeper and the Golden Fishplates              and here is the motley working party crew

Members and visitors attending the site should be aware that the landscaping staff have removed a significant number of trees in the car parking areas which has left a number of low tree stumps.  We have marked these with cones and flags but take care when parking.

This is the website of the Leeds Society of Model & Experimental Engineers.

Welcome to existing Society members and non-members interested in model engineering or are you and your family looking for information on our train running days.  We hope that you will come along and enjoy rides around the track.

The Society is based in the grounds of Eggborough Power Station along side the A19 between the M62 Jctn. 34 and the village of Burn in North Yorkshire.  There we have an elevated dual gauge (5, 3½ inch) track of approximately 1028 feet in length with a station, a clubhouse
and workshop.  See Find Us page.

You can take as many rides as you like free of charge.  All we ask is for a small donation to our club funds to help us maintain our facilities.  On Rally days we also offer some food and refreshments.  Running days are from March to October with the addition of Bonfire Night and Boxing Day.  We also have a portable track that we take to local events.

See the Calendar pages for details.

Our members have a wide range of experience and are from all walks of life.  They are more than willing to offer advice and pass on some of their knowledge of engineering and construction of models.

If you are interested and want more information our want to join as a member we meet every Wednesday evening at Eggborough, or you can complete the Contact Us page with your request.
